Grayman Studio LLC is a product design and development consultancy that specializes in technical softgoods, casual bags, travel luggage, and related accessories.

We frequently work behind the scenes, using our experience, talents, and skills that have been honed through years of designing consumer preferred soft goods collections that have consistently outperformed in the marketplace, to become a valuable asset and strategic design partner for your company.

From project brief to final sample approval, we work diligently and efficiently to help you at any stage of the process to bring new product designs and experiences to life in a way that satisfies your business goals and also resonates with the consumer.

Our Founder and Principal, Michael Harris, has over 20 years of industrial design experience after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design.

In his earlier years, he has worked with numerous industrial design consultancies on projects for companies such as Whirlpool, Procter & Gamble, SC Johnson, Newell Brands, etc... which has given him a wide breadth of experience and insight into different types of brands, products, and customers. He has also taught sophomore year industrial design studios at the University of Illinois in Chicago, helping to train the future leaders of the industry.

His most recent position was as the Lead Senior Designer at Samsonite, the worlds largest and leading luggage company. With over 10 years combined experience working there, he has designed over 100 collections of softside travel luggage for the Disney, American Tourister, Samsonite, and Hartmann brands, including exclusives for the Samsonite Company Stores, Macy’s, Costco, Kohl’s, Target, Walmart, and many others.
